Followed up with “Cold Pressed Juices & Sustainability” by Erin Olive from MEP Florida where they use cold-pressed juices to enhance their high-quality, craft cocktail beverage program. From cold pressed lime and lemon juice to sours and special blends, they’ve got it covered.
At M.E.P. Florida we take extra care to make the best possible juice, while also practicing sustainable practices wherever we can. We source our produce based off of seasonality not by price. We never add heat, or chemicals to preserve our juice, we use a process called HPP or high pressure process that gives our juices a 60+ day shelf life. For our sustainability practices we don’t use gallons we use recyclable pouches which lowers our footprint in landfills. Our bottles are made with blue-green algae which allows the bottle to decompose at the same rate as a banana peel. Our boxes & labels are from N.Miami & Hialeah reducing our carbon footprint and lastly we have invested a substantial amount of money into our on premise composter. This decision to invest in this machinery strengthens our commitment to be as green as possible, we will lower our food waste and give back to communities all over the state!
