“Official Repeal Day Conference Cocktail” Competition
We are proud to announce, in collaboration with USBG Tampa & Infinium Spirits, the first “Official Repeal Day Conference Cocktail” Competition!
Competition Rules:
1. All participating members must be active USBG members on or before the submission deadline
USBGTB RDC2014 Committee members are not eligible
All submissions must be submitted to usbgtampabay@gmail.com by no later than Sunday, September 28th at 11:59pm
Cocktail recipe must be featured at your establishment from September 29th – November 22nd, 2014 – either on your cocktail menu or the creation of a table tent (official logos to be used below)
Infinium Spirits will donate $1.00 from the sale of each cocktail to the USBG National Charity Foundation
Cocktail Rules:
1. No more than 6 ingredients; if utilizing homemade ingredients, please be specific about how to make said ingredients
2. Ingredients should be readily available
3. Cocktail must be no more than 3 oz before ice
. Cocktail must have, at least, 2 spirits from the Infinium Spirits Portfolio. Portfolio information can be found here http://www.infiniumspirits.com/brands/index.html
5. Cocktail must take no more than 90 seconds to make
6. Cocktail category will be determined by the Spirit used in greater quantity. If the spirits are equal part, you must choose which category to compete in. You may submit more than one cocktail, however, you can only submit one per category
Su Submissions must contain the following information
a. Full Name & Address
b. Best Contact Number & Email
c. Establishment Name, Address, Contact Number
d. Cocktail Category to be judged in
e. Cocktail Name, Recipe & Instructions on how to make your drink
Categories are:
a. Whiskey
b. Rum
c. Vodka
d. Tequila
e. Fernet Branca/Branca Menta
f. Vermouth
g. Grappa
h. Borghetti Caffe/ Borghetti Sambuca
Judging
All cocktails will be re-created by USBGTB bartenders and judged by a 4 person RDC2014 Committee panel on the following areas:
Taste
Use of spirits
Time to create
Appearance
Ease of replication
Panel will choose the top cocktail in each category (8 winners); These top 8 drinks will, then, be featured at the Repeal Day Kick-Off Happy Hour on Friday, December 5, 2014 in Tampa, FL and again, at the 5th Annual Repeal Day Gala on Saturday, December 6th, 2014. “The Official Drink of Repeal Day 2014” will be selected by people’s choice at the Repeal Day Kick-Off Happy Hour
Winners
Top 8 winners will receive $100.00 to travel to Tampa, 1 night hotel (Friday, December 5th, and complimentary admission to the Repeal Day Kick-Off Happy Hour.
People’s Choice winner will earn the honorable distinction of “The Official Drink of Repeal Day 2014”; said cocktail will be prominently featured in any press, photography and at the Gala on Saturday, December 6th. Winner will, also, receive a PAID trip (hotel for one night and travel stipend) in 2015 to be a judge for the 2015 competition
